How to find the serial number of the product?

Products and accessories with original box

  • Please check the outer packaging to find the adhesive label.
  • The serial number is a string of numbers listed after the word "SERIAL NO:" or "S/N" or "Service Tag"
Notebook

  • Please check the base of the notebook for the adhesive label.
  • Also check under the battery.
  • The serial number is printed on the adhesive label after the word "SERIAL NO:" or "S/N:" or "Service Tag:"

Desktop

  • Please check the adhesive label located near the I/O panel or PCI slot on the back of the unit.
  • The serial number is printed on the adhesive label after the word "SERIAL NO:" or "S/N:" or "Service Tag:"

Monitor

  • Please check the labels with SN on the back of the product cover.
  • The serial number is indicated directly under the bar code after the word "SERIAL NO:" or "S/N:" or "Service Tag:"

All in One

How to restore the PC factory settings?

PC, Notebook, All-in-one
Restoring factory settings lets you choose whether to keep or remove files and reinstall Windows. To get started, go toSettings > Update and security > Reset the PC > To start and choose an option.
Note:
If you can not open Settings, you can reset by restarting your PC from the login screen. Press WINDOWS + L key to display the login screen, then hold down SHIFT while you selectSupply > Reboot in the lower right corner of the screen. After restarting the PC, select Troubleshooting > Reset the PC.

If the login screen is not displayed, use the installation media or the recovery drive to restore your PC to factory settings.

Keep my files
  • Reinstall Windows 10 and keep personal files.
  • Removes the apps and drivers installed by you.
  • Remove the changes made to the settings.
  • Remove any apps installed by your PC manufacturer. (If your PC was pre-installed with Windows 10, the PC manufacturer's apps will be reinstalled.)
Remove All
  • Reinstall Windows 10 and remove all your personal files.
  • Removes the apps and drivers installed by you.
  • Remove the changes made to the settings.
  • Remove any apps installed by your PC manufacturer. (If your PC was pre-installed with Windows 10, the PC manufacturer's apps will be reinstalled.)
Reset the manufacturer settings If you intend to donate, recycle or sell your PC, use this option and choose to completely clean the unit. It may take between one and two hours, but doing so will make it harder to restore the removed files.
  • Reinstall the Windows version supplied with your PC (Windows 8 or Windows 8.1) and remove your personal files.
  • Removes the apps and drivers installed by you.
  • Removes changes made to settings.
  • Reinstall any apps installed by your PC manufacturer.
This option is not available on all PCs.

Nota:
If you restore your PC to factory settings within 10 days of upgrading to Windows 10, the option under Settings that return to the previous version of Windows will no longer be available.
